Hamstra Heating and Cooling has been serving the Tucson and surrounding area for over 30 years.  We currently have an opening for a Purchasing Agent/ Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in inventory, supply chain and/or warehouse management. POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan, organize, and direct functions related to purchasing & inventory management, vendor relations, and warehouse operations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Order materials for jobs as indicated by draftsmen, managers, salesmen, and owners
  • Oversee stock replenishment process and order materials to maintain satisfactory warehouse stock levels
  • Ensure that all materials are ordered correctly and that they are accurately received
  • Ensure that all materials are on-site or in-stock when needed
  • Accept deliveries from suppliers, using forklift if necessary
  • Maintain open communication with owners and managers about the status of material orders
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders about changes in material pricing, new product availability and any other opportunities that may arise that would be beneficial to the company
  • Oversee warehouse cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure materials are pulled with a high degree of accuracy, for upcoming jobs and placed in appropriate installer's bin for pick-up or delivery
  • Manage activities of Warehouse personnel and Delivery Drivers and delegate tasks as necessary
  • Assist Warehouse personnel and Delivery Drivers with any other tasks as needed or required to get the job done correctly and on time
  • Resolve Accounts Receivable discrepancies generated by 3-way match process
  • Manage part number data base and category/sub-category function
  • Oversee yearly physical inventory
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers
  • Manage vendor relationship Sourcing events, vendor agreements, quarterly business review (QBR), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) compliance, and corrective actions
  • Oversee vendor returns and expediting credits
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years' experience in inventory, supply chain and warehouse management
  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record with no major violations in the last 5 years
  • Must be physically able to be on feet up to 6 hours a day

PAY RANGE:  $50K - $65K DOE

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Exceptional knowledge of inventory, supply chain and warehouse management processes
  • Strong skills in MS Office Applications
  • ERP/MRP Implementation experience a plus
  • APICS/CPIM Certification desired
  • Knowledge of Work Instruction creation and process (ISO-9001) through application of strong written skills
  • KPI driven Focus on Continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data into actionable tasks that contribute to long range growth strategy. Good mathematical skills for dealing with pricing and quantities
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team to complete daily activities according to schedule
  • Self-driven with the ability to stay busy and on task at all times
  • Ability to obey all traffic laws and drive a company vehicle in a safe and effective manner if necessary
  • Ability to meet attendance expectations and strict punctuality requirements
  • Ability to work the hours required to complete all tasks on-time and effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to complete routine paperwork with accuracy and neatness
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone
